Turkmenistan's Logistics Potential Presented in Brussels
A high-level conference titled "Connecting Continents: Turkmenistan's Evolving Transit and Logistics Opportunities" was held in Brussels, Belgium. The event focused on Turkmenistan's initiatives to build a sustainable and efficient transport bridge between Europe and Asia.
At the opening, the delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan presented the ongoing efforts to modernize the country's transit system. Key focus areas included:
- Digital Customs: Digitization of procedures at checkpoints and significant reduction in clearance times.
- Throughput Capacity: Technical improvement of border crossings to meet international standards.
- Risk Management: Creating more transparent and reliable conditions for carriers.
Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, emphasized that the country's position at the crossroads of East-West and North-South routes carries great responsibility. Representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament confirmed the increasing interest in cooperation, specifically discussing the development of the Trans-Caspian Route (Middle Corridor) and the full utilization of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.
