Uzbekistan and Kuwait are discussing possibilities for developing a transport route through Turkmenistan, as well as alternative routes via Iran or Turkey and Iraq.
This issue was addressed during a meeting between the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuwait, Ayubkhon Yunusov, and Kuwait’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Osama Khalid Abdullah Budai. The "Dunyo" agency reported on the meeting.
During the discussion, it was stated that this initiative aims to expand the export of Uzbek food products to the Gulf countries, and Kuwait supports the development of this transport corridor.
It was noted that utilizing Kuwait as a transit hub could provide direct access for Uzbek products to the markets of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the UAE, and Oman.
