
The 2026 Football World Cup will be organized with the participation of 48 teams for the first time in history, featuring a total of 104 matches. The tournament will take place between June 11 and July 19 in three North American countries: the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The games will unfold in a total of 16 cities.
According to the new format, the national teams will be divided into 12 groups. Those occupying the first two places in their groups and the 8 best-performing third-placed teams will qualify for the play-off stage (a total of 32 teams).
