Georgia’s “Black Sea Petroleum” (BSP) oil refinery will begin processing oil imported from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
According to a report by the “Business Media Georgia” agency on Monday, the company’s CEO, David Poshveria, stated that agreements for the supply of Turkmen raw materials have been reached and that operations in this direction will commence in the coming months.
David Poshveria emphasized that logistics issues regarding the regular transit of oil through Azerbaijan are currently in their final stages.
“Black Sea Petroleum” (BSP) is Georgia’s first full-scale oil refinery, located in the city of Kulevi on the Black Sea coast. Currently, the enterprise processes up to 1.2 million tons of oil per year, producing naphtha, fuel oil (mazut), and diesel fuel components.
