
The Russian Government has extended the temporary ban on the export of technical sulfur, a vital raw material for the production of mineral fertilizers. This was reported by the press service of the RF Cabinet of Ministers.
"According to the signed decree, the restriction applies to the export of liquid, granulated, and lump sulfur. It will remain in effect until June 30, 2026. At the same time, low-quality sulfur can be exported without restrictions based on a confirmation issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade," the report notes.
The government emphasized that this decision will help stabilize the supply of raw materials to the domestic market, maintaining the current level of mineral fertilizer production and ensuring the country's food security.

The temporary restriction on technical sulfur exports has been in effect since November 1, 2025.
