
Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, met with Vivienne Loonela, Head of Cabinet of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The parties discussed practical aspects of cooperation and the agenda for potential high-level meetings.
According to a report by the Turkmen Embassy in Belgium on Wednesday, the European side highly valued Turkmenistan's support in evacuating its citizens via Iran and noted that Turkmenistan is a reliable partner in the humanitarian field.
Energy, transport connectivity, strategic raw materials, research activities, and the climate agenda were identified as priority areas for cooperation.
During the meeting, the interlocutors emphasized the need to create an effective platform for direct cooperation between relevant agencies and institutions as a next step, allowing for a transition from political agreements to the practical implementation of joint initiatives.
Additionally, the Turkmen Ambassador held several meetings with the Permanent Representatives of the Netherlands, Sweden, Malta, and Poland to the European Union.
