Guided by the instructions of our esteemed President given during a recent working meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and regional governors regarding the spring sowing of potatoes and vegetable crops, the vegetable growers of our region have begun the sowing campaign to complete it in a short time and with high quality.
This year, spring potato sowing is planned on 1,400 hectares across the province, with 3,920 tons of seeds prepared. High-yielding potato varieties such as "Gala" and "Santa" will be primarily planted this season. Likewise, relevant work is underway in our province to plant spring onions on a total of 900 hectares to achieve a bountiful harvest. This was reported by the "Türkmen gündogary" newspaper. Spring onion varieties "Bereket," "Farap," and "Kaka" have been selected for planting in the Dovletli, Charjew, Danew, and Kerki districts. Currently, the spring sowing of potatoes and onions on the first hectares is being carried out in accordance with agrotechnical requirements. The early and full preparation of fields, seeds, as well as relevant agricultural machinery and tools, has been yielding results since the first days of the season.
The domestic production of high-quality, import-substituting food products has been an important step in creating abundance. Representatives of the private sector, alongside tenant farmers of the province's peasant associations, are actively contributing to this noble state-level work for the nation's benefit. This is clearly evidenced by the productive work carried out at the "Tebigy ekin" farm in the Charjew district. For several years, this farm has accumulated extensive experience by planting high-yielding potato varieties adapted to our local soil and climatic conditions.
In this year of glorious progress, "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — Home of the Swift Reach of Great Goals," the proper organization of seasonal agrotechnical measures and favorable weather conditions create positive grounds for a rich harvest of vegetable crops. It is worth noting that the environmentally friendly, high-quality vegetables grown in our sunny country are distinguished by their taste, nutritional value, and benefits for human health.
The farmers of our province express their gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the wide opportunities created to elevate the Turkmen village to new heights of development and for the production of bountiful harvests from our mother earth.
