A meeting was held between the President of Turkmenistan and the President of Georgia

As part of his first state visit to Georgia, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili. The negotiations between the two heads of state confirm that political relations have reached a new level.

Main focus areas of the negotiations:

• Strategic cooperation: The parties exchanged views on deepening trade and economic relations, attracting investment, and developing cooperation in the energy, transport, and logistics sectors.
• Potential of the "Middle Corridor": Special attention was paid to the strategic importance of the "Middle Corridor" and the issue of expanding transit communications between Europe and Asia using the capabilities of Black Sea ports, including the Anaklia deep-sea port.
• Humanitarian ties: The leaders noted the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of culture, education, and science, as well as developing youth and academic exchange programs.

According to the administration of the President of Georgia, this visit is a clear confirmation of the strengthening of high-level political dialogue between the two countries. The two heads of state announced their readiness to continue developing mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas in the future.
