In the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, large-scale work is being consistently continued in our country to ensure human rights, including gender equality. In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan has signed an important document, approving the "National Action Plan for Gender Equality in Turkmenistan for 2026–2030."
This document is another step aimed at strengthening the equality of men and women in the socio-economic, socio-political, and cultural-humanitarian spheres of our country. The main goal of the Plan is to create more favorable conditions for the active and equal participation of women and men in all areas of our society, as well as to fulfill the obligations we have undertaken in accordance with international legal norms.
The approved document reflects new tools and opportunities for the practical implementation of gender equality. This plan will provide a great impetus to increasing the effectiveness of state policy in the field of ensuring gender equality and further strengthening the role of women in society.
In accordance with the decision signed by the Head of State, relevant ministries, sectoral management bodies, local executive authorities, and local self-government bodies have been instructed to ensure the high-level implementation of the measures provided for in the Plan within the established timeframes.
This initiative once again confirms Turkmenistan's commitment to its international obligations and the fact that the protection of human rights and freedoms is one of the priority directions of state policy in our country.
