A New Stage in Turkmen-Argentine Relations: New Ambassador Begins Tenure
Yesterday, on the instructions of Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Speaker of the Mejlis, D. Gulmanova, received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Turkmenistan, Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira.
On behalf of the Head of State, the leader of the national parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to this responsible post and wished him success in his efforts to further strengthen interstate relations.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome on Turkmen soil and conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the Argentine Republic, Javier Milei, to Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
During the meeting, the diplomat was briefed on the country's peaceful foreign policy and significant international initiatives aimed at ensuring global welfare and sustainable development. It was noted that independent, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan attaches great importance to developing mutually beneficial relations with interested partners, including Latin American states. Furthermore, the Ambassador was provided with detailed information about the composition of the Mejlis and its multifaceted work in modernizing the country's legislative framework.
The meeting included an exchange of views on a wide range of Turkmen-Argentine relations in both bilateral and multilateral formats, primarily within the framework of the United Nations and other authoritative international organizations. In this regard, the importance of developing inter-parliamentary relations in the legislative sphere was emphasized.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Turkmenistan assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen the cooperation between our countries based on mutual trust and respect.
