UN Tourism has selected Azerbaijan to host the 10th World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism. The international event is scheduled to take place in June 2027 in the city of Gabala.
According to Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency, the forum will play an important role in promoting the country’s rich national culinary heritage internationally and developing gastronomy tourism.
As part of the forum, representatives of the international tourism and gastronomy industries will have the opportunity to discover Azerbaijan’s national dishes, culinary traditions and local products. The event is also expected to provide a platform for professionals from different countries to exchange experience and establish new partnerships.
The World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism has been held at the initiative of UN Tourism since 2015. It brings together tourism and gastronomy professionals, producers, entrepreneurs and representatives of government institutions.
The forum’s main objectives are to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience in gastronomy tourism, share successful practices, and strengthen the role of national cuisine in enhancing the appeal of tourist destinations.
The 2027 forum will contribute to raising international awareness of Azerbaijan’s national culinary culture and developing the country’s gastronomy tourism potential.
