A severe storm in Türkiye’s Antalya province has claimed the lives of four people and injured one other person. The RIA Novosti news agency reported the incident, citing information from local authorities.

The incident reportedly occurred overnight on Monday into Tuesday in the Kepez district of Antalya. Strong winds destroyed temporary accommodation used by construction workers. Four workers were killed, while another sustained injuries.

Antalya authorities had issued advance warnings about hazardous weather conditions, urging residents and tourists to exercise caution amid heavy rainfall and storm-force winds.

According to the forecast of Türkiye’s General Directorate of Meteorology, rainfall in the province is expected to ease on Friday. However, rain may return on Saturday.

Experts advise the public to observe safety precautions when weather conditions deteriorate and to follow warnings issued by the relevant authorities.
