
On January 28, 2026, a presentation ceremony was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People’s Republic of China, dedicated to the proclamation of 2026 as the Year of “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — the Land of Swift Horses and Great Aspirations,” as well as to the presentation of the book by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, titled “The Neutrality of Turkmenistan — a Clear Path of Peace and Trust,” published in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by embassy staff, the Secretary General of the Chinese Equestrian Association, representatives of the Turkmenistan–China Cultural Center, editors-in-chief and journalists of Psearcher and Lookwe magazines, as well as professors from leading universities in Beijing and Turkmen students.
The opening address was delivered by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, Parahat Durdyyev. In his speech, he highlighted the significance of declaring 2026 a thematic year and presented the key ideas and content of the President’s book “The Neutrality of Turkmenistan — a Clear Path of Peace and Trust.”
Speakers at the event emphasized that the new book comprehensively outlines the historical foundations of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, its place in international law, and its importance in contemporary global politics.
Chinese partners noted the effectiveness and dynamic development of Turkmen-Chinese relations, the achievements of Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the country’s growing international prestige stemming from its neutral legal status.
As part of the presentation ceremony, Wei Huakai, a specialist in biochemistry and molecular biology from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Inner Mongolia University, was solemnly presented with a certificate confirming his membership in the International Alabai Dog Association.
