Located on the right bank of the Amu Darya River in the Lebap velayat, the "Farap" Sanatorium has become one of the most popular destinations where our fellow citizens strengthen their health and find rejuvenation. Combining nature’s generous gift – mineral water – with medical services that meet global standards, this place is distinguished by its perfect infrastructure.
The main treasure of the sanatorium is its natural mineral water, extracted from a depth of 830–890 meters. Containing over 32 chemical elements, this medicinal water reaches the treatment departments by natural flow at a temperature of 39 degrees. According to specialists, the physical and chemical composition of this water can compete with the mineral waters of the world's leading health resorts. In the treatment baths, the water temperature is maintained at 37–38 degrees, ensuring the full preservation of its healing properties.
Modern Medical Services
The 250-bed sanatorium consists of diagnostic, treatment, and water-treatment departments, all equipped with the latest medical technology. In the diagnostic department, patients receive accurate diagnoses through endoscopy, X-ray, ultrasound, electrocardiography, and clinical-biological laboratories.
The sanatorium successfully treats diseases of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, liver, and biliary tract, as well as skin conditions. This is achieved through physiotherapy, massage, acupuncture, mud therapy, hydrogen sulfide and iodine-bromine baths, the "Charcot" shower, and an indoor swimming pool with a volume of 150 cubic meters.
Innovative Methods and Healthy Leisure
New technologies are constantly being implemented at the sanatorium. Specifically, equipment for traction, lymphatic drainage, electrophoresis, and ozone therapy installed this season has further increased the effectiveness of treatments. While the ozone therapy method improves the body's blood circulation, the newly introduced cedar barrel helps to restore skin health.
All conditions have been created at the sanatorium for citizens who come to improve their health. The phyto-bar, which offers medicinal teas prepared from plants described in the Hero Arkadag’s multi-volume scientific encyclopedic work "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan," and the physical education room equipped with modern sports equipment are among the favorite places for our compatriots. Furthermore, concerts and creative meetings organized by cultural workers lift the spirits of guests and contribute to an impactful stay at the sanatorium.
The "Farap" Sanatorium is not just a place for treatment; it is a source of human health and spiritual perfection.
