In October 2026, extensive preparations are underway in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone to hold the Caspian Ecological Summit. Currently, experts and diplomats have begun coordinating a package of documents defining the key areas for joint protection of the ecosystem in the region.
The issues of preparation for this high-level meeting were discussed at the meeting of Turkmenistan's Caspian Sea group. The expected summit will be an important step for promoting the country's international environmental initiatives and expanding cooperation with global organizations in the field of environmental protection. Along with this, special events dedicated to Caspian Sea Day are being prepared.
The ecological forum will become a central part of the large-scale autumn agenda on the Caspian coast. It should be recalled that in October, a number of high-level meetings are planned to be held in Avaza, including the summit of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, ministerial consultations on water resources, and the International Women's Dialogue.
