A two-day eco-tourism event with the participation of youth was held in the stunning landscapes of the Amudarya State Nature Reserve. This initiative was implemented by the "Young Naturalist" public organization within the framework of the joint project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility on the conservation of ecosystems in the Aral Sea region.
The main goal of the eco-tour was to increase the ecological literacy of the younger generation and to awaken a love for the environment in their hearts. During the event, young naturalists, under the guidance of experts, became acquainted with the unique ecosystem of the reserve. They:
Bahargul Kuliyeva, a volunteer for the "Young Naturalist" public organization, shared her impressions:
"This eco-tour allowed us to see the wonders of nature with our own eyes. By exploring the protected areas of the reserve, we realized that preserving the environment is a sacred duty for each of us. Such events help strengthen the ecological culture among us."
At the end of the eco-tour, young participants who actively joined and demonstrated their ecological knowledge were awarded Certificates of Honor from the "Young Naturalist" public organization.
According to the organizers, such practical trips do not only provide education but also encourage youth to actively join large-scale efforts to preserve the region's natural resources. Protecting the unique nature of the Amudarya is a guarantee for the prosperous life of future generations.
