Innovation in the Auto World: Geely Introduces i-HEV Technology
Geely has officially unveiled its latest self-charging hybrid system, named i-HEV Intelligent Dual-Engine. This cutting-edge technology was first implemented in the Monjaro (Xingyue L) and Preface (Xingrui) models. In the future, this system will also be integrated into the Emgrand and Atlas models.
The key feature of the new hybrid system is its high performance. The results achieved by the engineers are remarkable:
- Power: Total output equals 313 horsepower.
- Efficiency (Thermal Efficiency): The engine's thermal efficiency is 48.41%, which Geely notes is one of the highest in the world for mass-produced engines.
- Fuel Consumption (WLTC): Only 4.75 liters per 100 km for the Monjaro and 3.98 liters per 100 km for the Preface.
Design-wise, the new hybrid models do not differ greatly from their internal combustion engine counterparts. However, there are unique updates: a new metallic gold color and silver-grey wheels for the Monjaro, and bright orange accents in the interior along with two large screens styled after Li Auto vehicles. High-end trims include a Head-Up Display (HUD), as well as heating, ventilation, and massage functions for the front seats.
