Along with workers in all sectors, our vegetable growers make a worthy contribution to creating food abundance in the country's markets. The hardworking residents of the Farap district are recognized as leaders in cultivating vegetable and melon crops.
This year, 30 hectares of onions and 65 hectares of potatoes were planted across the district. The work currently being carried out in accordance with agrotechnical requirements is yielding specific results, strengthening the confidence that a high yield of vegetable and melon crops will be achieved.
Ikram Rajapov, a tenant of the "Dostluk" farmers' association, shares:
— The farmers of our district are known for their rich experience in growing onions and potatoes. My family and I have been achieving high yields for several years. Last season we harvested 30 tons of onions; this year, we plan to increase this figure to 35 tons.
Ikram, along with his brother Muhammet Rajapov, also takes special care of fruit orchards. Their 1.5 hectares of apricots, 50 ares of apple trees, and 1 hectare of newly planted peach seedlings are the fruits of their diligent labor.
Aziz Ereshov, a tenant of the "Gumkent" farmers' association, is a master of proper crop rotation. He sets an exemplary model for his fellow villagers not only in growing vegetables and melons but also in cultivating wheat and barley.
Aziz aga’s children — Selbi, Jemal, Arslan, and Artur — also demonstrate persistence in their work, providing close support to their family. The harvest of potatoes planted in late February, which are currently in bloom, is expected to begin in early June.
The rural reforms implemented under the wise leadership of our Esteemed President have opened a new chapter in the lives of the workers. Public organizations of the Farap district are also carrying out great work in promoting and encouraging these labor achievements.
The district's farmers express their deep gratitude to the Head of State for the wide opportunities created to contribute to food abundance and to prosper through honest labor.
