Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will attend the "Russia-ASEAN" summit in Kazan and then pay an official visit to Turkmenistan. He announced this on his social media page "X".
Key aspects of the visit:
- Kazan summit: Anwar Ibrahim will attend the "Russia-ASEAN" summit in Kazan, meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and plans to participate in the "Russia-ASEAN" business forum. The "Russia-ASEAN" summit will be held in Kazan from June 17 to June 19.
- Ashgabat visit: Following his visit to Russia, he will arrive in Ashgabat at the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Malaysia have been strengthening for many years. This visit is expected to elevate cooperation between the two countries to a qualitatively new level.
Furthermore, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Malaysian company "Petronas" operating in Turkmenistan. In honor of this milestone, scientific-practical conferences and exhibitions dedicated to Turkmen-Malaysian relations are planned to be held in our country.
It should be noted that the preparations for the official visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister were previously discussed at a Government meeting of Turkmenistan with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
