New Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Presents Copies of Credentials to the MFA of Turkmenistan
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to our country, Lee Won-jae. During the diplomatic meeting, the new ambassador presented copies of his credentials.
The Turkmen side congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries. During the talks, the parties emphasized the importance of developing bilateral cooperation based on long-standing friendship, trust, and mutual understanding. In particular, the role of high-level contacts in advancing political dialogue was specially noted.
The interlocutors confirmed their readiness to strengthen mutual support within the framework of international organizations and to revitalize interparliamentary relations. The meeting also highlighted the great potential for cooperation in the following areas:
- Expanding trade and economic relations;
- Developing cooperation between business communities;
- Implementing cultural and humanitarian projects in the fields of education and sports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan expressed its readiness to provide all-around assistance to the ambassador's activities in his new role.
