President of Turkmenistan Participated in the International Environmental Summit in Astana

As part of his working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of the Founder States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS). bu news was reported by the "Watan" news program.

Speaking at the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan noted that tasks of vital importance to the peoples of the Aral region should not be relegated to the background. He emphasized the need to preserve and develop mechanisms for international cooperation and coordination in this area.

"Saving the Aral, its future, and the fate of the people living in the sea region is a matter of our honor, as well as our political and moral responsibility. At the same time, it is our common duty to unite and utilize the economic, financial-organizational resources, and diplomatic efforts of our countries and international partners to solve these critical ecological, social, and humanitarian issues," the President of Turkmenistan stressed. In this regard, the President put forward several proposals.

At the conclusion of his speech, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on assuming the chairmanship of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea and wished him success in his future endeavors.
