
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz, who arrived in our capital, Ashgabat, to participate in the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation.
Speaking about the high-level meeting, the distinguished guest Cevdet Yılmaz announced that alongside the historical relations of friendship between brotherly Turkey and Turkmenistan, new avenues of cooperation that will shape the common future of the two countries were comprehensively discussed.
According to the Vice President of Turkey, during the meeting with the Head of State, the parties paid special attention to further developing relations in the following areas, which hold strategic importance for both countries:
During the talks, the parties reaffirmed their strong political will to elevate regional cooperation, based on mutual interests and shared trust, to higher levels.
Noting that developing Turkey-Turkmenistan relations within a grand strategic vision is of paramount importance given the current global geopolitical and geo-economic situations, Cevdet Yılmaz stated that consistent efforts will continue to further strengthen ties rooted in shared history, culture, and multifaceted values.
In his statement, he particularly emphasized that they would continue to support regional stability on the basis of bilateral trust and brotherly partnership, and together pursue the grand development goals of the two nations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz expressed his heartfelt gratitude, on behalf of himself and the delegation members, to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the high-level hospitality and warm welcome.
