President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the people and happy children of Turkmenistan on the International Holiday
The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, cordially congratulated the dear children and all the people on the occasion of International Children's Day, which is widely celebrated in our country along with the global community. As noted by the Head of State, the festive celebrations to be held on the occasion of this glorious date in our beloved Motherland, recognized as a land of happy children, will create inexhaustible enthusiasm and great confidence in a bright future in the hearts of the younger generation.
The congratulatory letter specifically highlights that International Children's Day celebrates humanity's principles of friendship, peace, and peaceful life, and also symbolizes our country's commitment to the core principles of the United Nations (UN) regarding the rights and interests of children.
On the occasion of this holiday, which is one of the most glorious events of the year, grand musical and song celebrations are organized on a wide scale in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone, Gokdere, as well as in all provincial centers, towns, and villages. Joyful children's laughter, praising our country, united people, and friendship, spreads the reputation of our Independent Homeland across the world.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, stating that taking comprehensive care of the younger generation is one of the priority directions of state policy, drew attention to the following crucial areas:
- Modern conditions: Kindergarten buildings, secondary schools, and recreation and health centers that comply with international standards are systematically constructed and put into use across the country.
- Charitable works: World-exemplary works are being implemented to restore the health and support infants by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, established upon the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag.
- International cooperation: Turkmenistan consistently develops effective relations with prestigious structures such as the UN, the Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Population Fund (UNFPA), and the World Health Organization (WHO) in order to strengthen the social protection of mothers and children.
The Head of State noted the role of supporting large families and protecting family values in the perfect development of society, and at the end of his congratulatory message, wished all compatriots and children, who are the future of the country, robust health, long life, and a happy life.
