
Yesterday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Seychelles, Barry Faure, who arrived in our country on an official visit. During the meeting, promising areas of diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations between the two countries were discussed.
At the beginning of the talks, Minister Barry Faure conveyed warm greetings from the President of Seychelles, Patrick Herminie, and highly praised the dynamic development of Turkmenistan. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Government of Seychelles for its consistent support of Turkmenistan's international initiatives and peace-loving resolutions within the framework of the UN.
The Head of State drew attention to the export potential of Turkmenistan and identified the following sectors as priority areas for revitalizing trade and economic relations:
Furthermore, the Seychellois side was invited to actively participate in international exhibitions and economic conferences held in Turkmenistan.
A special topic of the meeting was cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, particularly in tourism. Given the rich experience of Seychelles in this field and the great potential of Turkmenistan, the parties expressed interest in exchanging experience. The President of Turkmenistan confirmed his readiness to consider specific proposals in this direction.
This meeting will provide an impetus to enriching the relations between the two states not only with diplomatic but also with specific economic and cultural projects. The parties expressed confidence that friendly relations will be further developed.
