President Serdar Berdimuhamedow Held an Important Working Meeting via the Digital System
Under the leadership of the Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedow, a regular working meeting was held via the digital system. It was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyýew and the khakims (governors) of the provinces. During the meeting, seasonal works carried out in the country's agricultural sector, preparations for the upcoming grain harvest, as well as important issues related to the social and cultural life of the regions were analyzed in detail.
Agrotechnical Activities in the Regions and Preparations for the Grain Harvest
During the working meeting, the reports of the province khakims were heard first. As noted in the reports, preparatory works to hold the grain harvest at a high organizational level and to collect the grain crop without loss are in their final stages in all regions of the country — Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary provinces.
These days, the following were noted among the important tasks on the agricultural fields:
- Cotton Care: Inter-row cultivation, thinning, weeding, feeding with mineral fertilizers, and vegetative watering continue in coordination on the fields. The capacity of agricultural machinery is effectively utilized in these activities.
- Food Abundance: In the fields of spring potatoes, vegetables, melons, and other food crops, care activities are carried out in accordance with agrotechnical standards, and measures to harvest the ripe crop are underway.
- Silk Production and Other Crops: While the work of delivering the cocoon harvest to receiving enterprises continues in Balkan and Dashoguz provinces, active measures are being taken in the Dashoguz region to complete rice sowing within the specified timeframe.
Having heard the reports, the Honorable President emphasized that the main condition for obtaining a rich harvest from agricultural crops and strengthening food abundance in the country is the strict observance of agrotechnical standards. The Head of State strictly instructed the khakims to keep full readiness for the grain harvest season under constant control and to carry out cotton care properly.
Cultural-Mass Events and Summer Vacation
Along with seasonal agricultural works, the regional leaders also reported on the preparations for the children's summer vacation season and the festivities planned on the occasion of the holy holiday of Eid al-Adha (Gurban Bayramy).
The Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, drawing attention to the fact that Eid al-Adha, which is one of the spiritual values of our people, as well as the summer vacation of the young generation, must be organized at a high organizational level, gave specific instructions to the relevant officials on holding cultural-mass events at a high quality level.
During the meeting, Vice-Premier T. Atahallyýew reported on the work accomplished in the country's agricultural complex. First of all, on behalf of the agricultural workers of the country, he expressed sincere gratitude to the Head of State for giving his blessing to start the grain harvest in the provinces.
Summarizing the report, the Honorable President noted that the consistent introduction of innovative methods into production would increase efficiency and gave the Vice-Premier a number of specific instructions.
At the end of the working meeting held via the digital system, the Head of State wished the participants success in their patient work, family well-being, and robust health.
