Rospotrebnadzor has delivered PCR test kits for diagnosing Ebola virus disease to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.

These test systems are the latest development by the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Russia. They enable the detection of the "Bundibugyo" virus, which is currently spreading in certain African countries.

Features and significance of the tests:

  • Reliability: The effectiveness of these test systems was tested and confirmed by Rospotrebnadzor specialists during real-world epidemiological conditions, specifically during outbreaks in Uganda.
  • Speed and accuracy: The tests allow for the rapid and accurate identification of the pathogenic virus. This helps in implementing timely counter-epidemic measures and prevents the spread of the infection into the Eurasian region.

It should be noted that similar test kits were delivered to the Republic of Congo in addition to Turkmenistan. This cooperation is an important step in ensuring epidemiological security at the international level.
