The progress of every country in all fields is closely linked to science. For this reason, in our sovereign state, alongside providing modern education and noble upbringing to the younger generation, extensive work is being carried out to direct youth toward scientific research.

The scientific-project and creative competition held as part of the "Golden Talents of the Golden Age" contest is of great importance in revealing capable and gifted young people. Lachyn Haitowa, a 12th-grade student at the 35th secondary school in the Kerki district, participated in the national stage of this competition with a project titled "Turning Koytendag into a World Tourism Center and Gaynarbaba Sanatorium," and won a proud second place.

Koytendag attracts the attention of world travelers with its unique flora and fauna and its incomparable beauty. Lachyn Haitowa conducted scientific research in the heart of Koytendag together with her history teacher and scientific advisor, Gulnara Atajanowa. The results of this research were expressed in the talented student's project work.

Lachyn Haitowa says about her project:

— Located in the southeastern corner of our region, Koytendag is known not only for its valuable mineral deposits but also as a home to historical and natural monuments. This region is fully worthy of becoming a center of world tourism in the future.

Main directions of the project:

  • Ancient Human Culture: Paintings in mountain caves testify that this region was one of the oldest hearths of human civilization.
  • Gaynarbaba Sanatorium: Studying the natural healing significance of the water in Lake Gaynarbaba and proposals for creating a modern sanatorium system there.
  • Support from Scientists: I. Annaorazow, a senior lecturer at Magtymguly Turkmen State University and a candidate of historical sciences, fully approved the project work and scientific views.

The talented youth of Lebap are concluding the current academic year with encouraging successes. The achievement of Lachyn Haitowa, the student from Kerki who won second place in the national competition, is a clear testament to this. Her first steps in the world of science will contribute to the wider recognition of the wonders of Koytendag worldwide in the future.
