The Honorable President received the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan
The Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Adil Kerimli, who is visiting our country.
The guest expressed his gratitude for the time granted and the warm hospitality shown to the Azerbaijani delegation on Turkmen soil, noting that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of relations with Turkmenistan. Taking this opportunity, he conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Ilham Aliyev to our Head of State and the National Leader of the Turkmen people. The guest highlighted that the holding of mutual Days of Culture contributes to strengthening ties between the two countries and said that it is a great honor for him to be visiting Turkmenistan.
The Honorable President expressed his best wishes to the Head of the Azerbaijani state, expressing confidence that the events held during the guest's visit would make a significant contribution to the development of cultural relations between our countries, and wished success for the Days of Culture of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, it was noted that bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan are actively developing in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Thanks to regular meetings and mutual visits at the state and government levels in recent years, cooperation has reached a qualitatively new level. Cultural-humanitarian partnership occupies a special place on the bilateral agenda. In this regard, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of joint cultural events, which facilitate the exchange of experience in various fields of culture and art.
The Head of State noted the successful holding of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan last October, emphasizing that such cultural ties contribute to bringing our peoples closer and strengthening friendly relations between our countries. "Following this noble tradition, the Days of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan are being held in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag this year. Our country is hospitably receiving a large delegation of Azerbaijani culture and art figures," the President said. The importance of exhibitions, concerts, and scientific conferences dedicated to the creativity of poets and thinkers held within the framework of the Days of Culture was also noted.
The Honorable President expressed confidence that the shared history and cultural heritage of our countries would serve as a solid foundation for deepening interstate cooperation and confirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to further cooperation with Azerbaijan.
