The next high-level meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is planned to be held in December 2026 in Moscow, the capital city of the Russian Federation. This was announced following the results of the council meeting held in Ashgabat.
At the expected Moscow meeting, the participants will first comprehensively evaluate the interim results of the implementation of the historic decisions and agreements adopted at the Ashgabat summit. The parties will also discuss important issues of raising economic, transport-logistics, modern technological, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation to new horizons within the Commonwealth space.
As a tradition, the meetings of the CIS Council of Heads of Government serve as a primary and effective platform for ensuring regional stability, coordinating large-scale joint projects, strengthening interstate relations, and developing new directions of integration and digital interaction among the countries of the Commonwealth.
