A two-day OSCE seminar dedicated to the creation of modern transport infrastructure resilient to climate change and natural disasters was held in Ashgabat.

  • Participants: The meeting was attended by representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, relevant transport agencies, as well as the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the logistics business.

  • Main Focus Areas: The primary focus of the meeting was on economic and engineering solutions for the transport sector, taking into account the conditions of Central Asia. International experts presented best practices for planning road highways and hubs resistant to extreme weather conditions and natural disasters.

  • Digitalization and Investment: The event paid special attention to issues of digital transformation, transport diplomacy, and attracting investment into regional corridors. As participants noted, developing reliable logistics in the region will make an important contribution to the implementation of the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026–2035).
