Turkish company Çalık Enerji will serve as the premier partner of the international conference and exhibition “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan” (CIET-2026), which will take place in Ashgabat on November 3–5, 2026. The event organisers announced the partnership.

The international forum will be held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. Representatives of government institutions, international business communities, investors, financial institutions and technology suppliers are expected to attend. According to the organisers, more than 800 representatives from 60 countries have registered to participate so far.

The forum’s agenda will cover industrial development, construction, energy, the chemical industry, infrastructure, investment attraction, the introduction of advanced technologies and the expansion of international cooperation.

Çalık Enerji, part of the Çalık Holding group, specialises in delivering full-cycle energy projects, from design and equipment procurement to the construction of power plants. The company also operates in electricity transmission and distribution, as well as renewable energy. Its projects are implemented across Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

One of the company’s major projects in Turkmenistan is the Mary-3 combined-cycle power plant, built in the city of Mary. With a capacity of 1,574 megawatts, the facility was commissioned in September 2018. According to the organisers, it was the first combined-cycle power plant built in Turkmenistan.

In addition, in October 2023, a decision was adopted authorising the State Electricity Corporation Turkmenenergo to conclude a contract with Çalık Enerji for the construction of a 1,574-megawatt combined-cycle power plant in the Turkmenbashi district of Balkan province. The project also includes the construction of power transmission lines to connect the plant to the country’s energy system.
