A two-day international seminar dedicated to labor migration issues was held in Brussels within the framework of the Prague Process. The event was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies, international organizations, and European Union institutions such as the European Commission and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss contemporary trends and practical tools for managing labor and legal migration, as well as to exchange experience among participating countries.
Representatives of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan also attended the seminar. During thematic sessions and round-table discussions, the Turkmen side presented its national experience in regulating migration processes. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of innovative approaches and the development of digital solutions in the migration management system.
Participants were informed about the ongoing work in Turkmenistan regarding the systematic modernization of migration infrastructure. Within this framework, areas such as the development of electronic services, the improvement of inter-agency cooperation, and the enhancement of information exchange efficiency among state bodies were specifically highlighted. These measures are aimed at ensuring transparency of regulations, improving the quality of public services, and strengthening the management of migration processes.
During the discussions, experts and representatives of participating states gave a positive assessment of the institutional development level of Turkmenistan's migration system. It was emphasized that the national system is distinguished by a high level of internal coordination, while the speed of information exchange between relevant agencies allows for an effective response to modern challenges in the migration sphere.
The seminar served as a platform for professional dialogue on creating opportunities for legal labor mobility, developing international cooperation, and improving mechanisms for the recognition of qualifications. Participants discussed possible areas for future partnership and exchanged best practices in migration management.
