The "Yylgynagyz" main water canal, built to irrigate crops in the "Ak Altyn", "Batash", and "Yylgynagyz" plains on the right bank of the Amu Darya, has once again started flowing at full capacity. The canal, which originates from the right bank of the river, uses powerful water-lifting pumps to raise silty water from 10 meters to a height of 59 meters at the first stage, fully meeting the fresh water demand of the agricultural fields. As a result of the repair and replacement of water pumps with new ones, the water-carrying capacity of the canal has been fully restored. Consequently, the wheat fields planted last autumn were significantly expanded. Starting this year, agricultural producers and landowners plan to plant various intermediate crops along with cotton and wheat in these plains. This will create conditions for establishing a proper crop rotation in the area.
