Under the leadership of esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, great attention is paid in the velayats of our country to radically improving the agricultural sector, ensuring food security, and strengthening the strict observance of agrotechnical standards. As noted, large-scale work in this direction is being carried out in the year of "Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan — the homeland of galloping steeds." In this regard, guided by the instructions of the esteemed President, a special working meeting was held at the khokimiyat of Lebap velayat, where ways to implement these tasks were widely discussed.

Preparation for wheat sowing and grain fields

In order to timely and high-quality lay the foundation for future bountiful grain harvest, plowing and leveling works are being carried out at a fast pace in the fields cleared from the grain harvest. Necessary measures are also being taken to prepare agricultural machinery and high-quality wheat seeds that will be used uninterruptedly during the upcoming sowing season. Specialists are utilizing all opportunities to improve the ameliorative condition of the soil and prepare it for the next sowing.

Caring for cotton, rice, and melon-vegetable crops

In the cotton fields of the velayat, in strict accordance with agrotechnical standards, consistent and effective works are carried out such as inter-row cultivation, feeding with mineral fertilizers, irrigation for vegetation, and prevention of pests. In order to successfully fulfill the tasks set to further increase the production volumes of melon and vegetable crops in our country and strengthen food abundance, preparations are also underway for the autumn sowing. Regular and proper maintenance works continue in the rice fields.

Mutual settlements and construction of social facilities

Consistent steps are also being taken to protect the interests of workers in the agricultural sector and strengthen cooperation. Mutual settlements for completed works between wheat and cotton producers and servicing enterprises for the 2026 harvest are ongoing. Along with this, the khokim also noted the state of construction works on social and economic facilities planned to be commissioned in the velayat this year in accordance with the "National Program for the Village."
