Cotton growers in the Dashoguz region are carrying out this year’s harvest at a high pace. During the preparations for the season, the necessary organizational measures were taken, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of cotton receiving points and cotton ginning enterprises.

A sufficient number of specialized vehicles have also been mobilized to transport the harvested raw cotton. This makes it possible to deliver the harvested crop to receiving points on time.

The main part of this year’s crop consists of medium-staple cotton varieties that are well adapted to the local soil and climatic conditions and are distinguished by high performance. According to specialists, these varieties are showing good yields.

At the same time, several new cotton varieties are being tested this year in terms of their productivity. Among them are new varieties developed by local breeders.

During the harvesting season, effective use is planned to be made of the specialized machinery available in the region. More than 200 modern high-performance combines, including «John Deere» machinery, are expected to operate in the cotton fields. These machines are distinguished by their ease of use, reliability and efficiency.

Among the major producers of this valuable raw material in the Dashoguz region, the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi district, Shabat district, as well as Akdepe and Koneurgench districts hold a prominent position. In the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi district, cotton is cultivated on more than 30,000 hectares.

The high pace of the cotton harvest demonstrates the effective use of the conditions created to complete the campaign within the established agrotechnical deadlines and to a high standard of quality.
