Pineberry, grown in coastal areas along the western coast of America, is one of the fruits that differs from ordinary strawberries in its color and distinctive flavor.

Pineberry is closely related to the strawberry, but its outer color is white, while the seeds attached to the surface of the fruit are red. For this reason, the small fruit may appear slightly pinkish from a distance.

Some people compare the taste of pineberry to that of ordinary strawberries. However, its main distinctive feature is its pineapple-like flavor and aroma. It is precisely this unique characteristic that makes the fruit resemble a combination of pineapple and strawberry.

The heart-shaped pineberry usually reaches 1.5–2.5 centimeters in size. Since the fruit is very soft and juicy, it spoils quickly. Therefore, transporting white strawberries over long distances can be difficult.

It is recommended to store ripe pineberries frozen in a refrigerator and wash them thoroughly before eating. In addition to being eaten fresh, this fruit is also used to prepare cocktails and thick fruit drinks.

Pineberry can also be added to sweets and desserts, various vegetable dishes, pickled appetizers, and marinades prepared for meat.

Its unusual color, shape, and combination of pineapple and strawberry flavors make pineberry a distinctive product among modern fruit varieties.
