
Within the framework of the working visit, a meeting was held between the delegation of the International University for the Humanities and Development and the Vice-Chancellors of the University of Westminster, Andrew Linn and Dibyesh Anand. During the meeting, opportunities for bilateral cooperation were discussed. Professor Andrew Linn introduced the scientific work carried out by the University of Westminster and noted that he had made several productive business trips to the city of Ashgabat, participated in scientific conferences, and that professional development training had been conducted jointly between the universities under the British Council program "Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia." Then, Professor Dibyesh Anand spoke about the international activities of the University of Westminster. In particular, he shared the experiences implemented in the Central Asian region. The delegation of the International University for the Humanities and Development expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and spoke about the university's activities, achievements, cooperation, and the work carried out with foreign partner universities. At the meeting, the productive nature of the meetings held with the scientific centers of the University of Westminster was noted. Subsequently, Professor Dibyesh Anand suggested carrying out relevant work to organize exchange programs, short-term summer schools, and online courses in areas of mutual interest for students of the International University for the Humanities and Development, and also put forward a proposal to develop joint dual degree programs in the format of "2+2" or "1+1" as a long-term goal. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to carry out relevant work through diplomatic channels to establish mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
Later, a hybrid meeting was held with the faculty members of the University of Westminster regarding "Academic English" classes. During the meeting, the professors and teachers of the University of Westminster shared their experiences on new methodologies in teaching English.
Additionally, during the working visit, an international conference dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence was held in the assembly hall of the University of Westminster. The conference was attended by the delegation of the International University for the Humanities and Development, along with vice-chancellors, faculty, heads of scientific centers, and students of the University of Westminster. At the international conference, the Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development, M. Kulieva, delivered a speech about Turkmenistan's foreign policy and diplomacy based on permanent Neutrality, conducted under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, and our esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar. A. Charyyev, a teacher at the Department of International Relations of the International University for the Humanities and Development, spoke about the glorious history of Turkmenistan, current successes and milestones, international cooperation in the education system, and the opportunities created in our Homeland for developing educated and talented youth. G. Seyilbayeva, a senior lecturer at the Management Department of the International University for the Humanities and Development, spoke about the teaching of foreign languages in our country and the work carried out by the university in this area.
The participants of the international conference highly praised our country's foreign policy and international initiatives aimed at peace-loving, trust, and strengthening friendly relations, as well as the effective reforms carried out in the education system.
