The Land of Sweet Flavors: New Achievements of Dashoguz Farmers

In these days, intensive work continues on the fertile soil of the northern region. Gardeners and farmers of the Dashoguz velayat are carrying out irrigation and care activities at a high pace to fill the tables of our people with fresh and sweet melons.

A total of 3,745 hectares of land has been allocated for melon and fruit products across the velayat. In this regard, the Ruhubelent and Koneurgench districts hold the leading positions. According to precise data:

In Ruhubelent district: 800 hectares;
In Koneurgench district: 730 hectares of land were allocated for melon crops.

By correctly applying modern agrotechnical measures, landowners aim to harvest an average of 200 centners per hectare. This is an important indicator in ensuring food abundance in the region.

Dashoguz velayat has long enjoyed great popularity for its sweet-tasting melons, not only in our country but also beyond its borders. Gardeners pay special attention to selecting varieties that are adapted to soil and climatic conditions, resistant to diseases, and high-yielding.
