Eight cotton ginning enterprises and 19 receiving facilities under the Ahalpagta Production Association were fully prepared for the campaign. Nearly 1,100 vehicles will be involved in transporting the harvest. IN BALKAN

During the responsible campaign, 18 cotton-picking combines and more than 90 vehicles for transporting the harvested crop operated smoothly in Balkan Velayat. This creates significant opportunities for the region to successfully fulfill its plan of harvesting 16,000 tons of “white gold” from 13,000 hectares of cotton fields.

IN DASHOGUZ

A rich cotton harvest has been grown across 140,000 hectares in the region. The cotton fields, resembling stars fallen to the earth, inspire confidence that the target of 275,000 tons will certainly be reached. More than 200 cotton-picking combines are being used in this work. To facilitate the harvesting process, cotton defoliation was carried out across 50,000 hectares. The harvested crop will be received around the clock without interruption at 10 local cotton ginning enterprises and 47 receiving facilities.

IN LEBAP

This year, 320,000 tons of cotton are planned to be harvested from 130,000 hectares in Lebap Velayat. To ensure that the campaign proceeds at a high pace, 218 John Deere cotton-picking combines will be put into operation. The harvested crop will be received at 11 cotton ginning enterprises and 38 receiving facilities in the region. The necessary conditions have been created there for uninterrupted acceptance of the harvest, assessment of its quality indicators and its proper storage.

IN MARY

In the year marking the 35th anniversary of the Great Independence of our country, cotton growers in Mary Velayat have cultivated a rich harvest by planting 162,000 hectares with the medium-staple varieties “Ýolöten — 7” and “Ýolöten — 39”, which are highly productive and resistant to diseases under local soil and climatic conditions, as well as the fine-staple variety “Ýolöten — 14”.
