Turkmen Designer Presented Her Collection at Azerbaijan Fashion Week
Turkmen designer Govkher Pirkulieva-Gouverné presented her collection at the Oriental Fashion Show held on Tuesday in Baku as part of Azerbaijan Fashion Week.
In an interview with an AZERTAC correspondent, Govkher Pirkulieva-Gouverné noted that each model carries its own meaning and symbolizes a journey along the Silk Road, reflecting the cultural traditions and shared heritage of Eastern countries.
Special attention is given to the cultural features of Turkmenistan. According to the designer, the country has five provinces (velayats), each with its own ornaments and decorative elements. These distinctive regional details were embodied in the looks showcased on the runway, emphasizing the uniqueness of each region and their harmonious unity.
Designers from nine countries presented their collections at the Oriental Fashion Show. Participants included designers from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Oman, Egypt, Bahrain, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
The Oriental Fashion Show is the first international event dedicated to haute couture and Eastern fashion. Founded in 2004, the show has successfully promoted over 100 designers from 50 countries and continues its mission in support of fashion creators and culture.
