According to him, the device will enable high-speed internet access via satellite and could become a key solution for Russia’s remote and hard-to-reach areas where ground-based infrastructure is limited or nonexistent.

"Our terminal will provide connectivity to remote settlements, northern regions, and other difficult-to-access areas. In many of these places, building traditional communication networks is either economically impractical or technically difficult," Bakanov explained.

The terminal is being developed to meet modern requirements for speed, reliability, and stable connectivity. It is expected to be compact, easy to use, and capable of operating in various weather conditions.

The creation of a domestic satellite internet terminal is part of Russia’s broader strategy to ensure technological sovereignty in telecommunications and digital infrastructure.

The first prototypes of the device are expected to be presented soon.
