A Rally Raid Held in the Karakum Desert in Honor of the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality

Twelve crews representing the Ministry of Motor Transport, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Motorsport Federation of Turkmenistan took part in the rally-raid championship in the T2 off-road vehicle class. The competition was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

The total length of the route laid through the Karakum Desert in the Geoktepe and Baherden districts of Ahal Province was 206 kilometers.

The winner, with a time of 2 hours 21 minutes 36 seconds, was the crew of the Motorsport Federation of Turkmenistan — pilot Maksatmurat Danatarov and co-driver Didar Orazmedov.

Second place went to the team of the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan — pilot Merden Toyliyev and co-driver Akmuhammet Toyliyev, who completed the route in 2 hours 39 minutes 48 seconds.

Third place was taken by the crew with a result of 2 hours 43 minutes 27 seconds, consisting of pilot Suleyman Annamamedov from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and co-driver Rafael Gaynullin representing the Motorsport Federation of Turkmenistan.
