Meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Turkmenistan
On December 10, 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Gurbanov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow), Ricardo Martínez Vázquez, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and the International Day of Neutrality. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the negotiations, the diplomats discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the prospects for further interaction between Turkmenistan and Spain.
It was emphasized that the two countries cooperate effectively within international and regional organizations, primarily within the UN, which is confirmed by the practice of mutual support of initiatives.
The parties noted the importance of enhancing partnership in several priority areas, including the promotion of educational programs and the study of the Spanish language.
