Libyan Culture Days Held in Turkmenistan
In the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, the events held as part of the Libyan Culture Days turned into a true celebration of art and traditions. This cultural event was organized with the aim of strengthening cultural ties between the peoples of the two countries, promoting mutual respect for national heritage, and enhancing friendly and brotherly relations.
The highlight of the festivities was a joint concert by Turkmen and Libyan artists at the “Watan” cinema and concert center in the capital. During the concert, the audience enjoyed Libyan national music, dances, contemporary stage performances, and the distinctive beauty of national costumes. At the same time, Turkmen performances showcasing the richness of local art also took center stage.
Libyan artists expressed great satisfaction with their visit to Turkmenistan. Libyan singer Khalid Alzuwawi shared that performing a folk song in the Turkmen language was a source of great pride for him. He emphasized his admiration for the Turkmen people's deep love for art and their spiritual beauty.
Libyan musician Abdulbasit Bendalla noted his deep interest in Turkmen folk music and highlighted the uniqueness of Turkmen musical instruments. He also mentioned the spiritual similarities between Turkmen and Libyan folk music.
The artists also visited major cultural landmarks of the capital, including the Magtymguly Pyragy cultural and park complex, the State Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts. These visits left a deep impression on them as they gained a closer understanding of Turkmen history, culture, and artistic heritage.
