Culture Week — A Celebration of Spiritual Wealth

Every year on June 27, our country solemnly celebrates the Day of Cultural and Art Workers as well as the Day of Poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy. During these days, a large-scale Culture Week is held, filled with various events that create unforgettable moments, enthusiasm, and creative inspiration for cultural professionals.

Famous artists, writers, and poets from across the country, as well as a large group of cultural and art workers from Lebap Province, will participate in this week, which will be held on the ancient land of Ahal. At the opening ceremony, folk dance ensembles such as “Lebap” from the regional cultural center and “Çapak” from Sayat District will perform traditional dances like “Noý-noý” and “Çapak” along the banks of the Jeýhun River, highlighting our national heritage and sacred customs.

The creative team of the State Music and Drama Theater named after Seýitnazar Seýdi from Lebap will also present a musical-literary composition praising our magnificent era. During this festive event that celebrates the major achievements of the national culture and art sector, representatives from Lebap will perform pieces glorifying the noble initiatives of our Hero Arkadag and Hero Serdar Arkadag, and will convey the message of the Year of International Peace and Trust.

As part of Culture Week, which reflects the great endeavors carried out in our country and the spiritual essence of our nation, large-scale events will also be held in the region. During the festive days, the regional Museum of History and Local Lore will host an extensive exhibition titled “Our National Culture — Our Treasure,” and the regional library will present a week-long book exhibition called “Culture — the Spiritual Wealth of the People.”

It is also worth noting that the actors of the State Music and Drama Theater named after Seýitnazar Seýdi have prepared a historical play titled “Golden Soul” for this special occasion, as well as a theatrical performance titled “Four Suitors for One Girl,” which portrays the lives of youth.

During Culture Week, residents will have the opportunity to enjoy festive concerts featuring regional art masters at cultural venues in the city of Türkmenabat, as well as in other districts and towns. The large-scale preparatory work demonstrates that Lebap's artists are contributing to the celebration with worthy artistic gifts.
