President of Uzbekistan Highlights that Turkmenistan’s Peace-Loving Policy Is a Key Condition for Ensuring Development in Central Asia
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a speech in Ashgabat at the international forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality, the International Day of Neutrality, and the International Year of Peace and Trust.
According to the Press Service of the Uzbek President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized in his address that Turkmenistan’s constructive and peace-loving policy is an important factor in ensuring stability and development in Central Asia.
“Ashgabat’s initiatives on energy and water security in the region, sustainable transport connectivity, and environmental protection complement our joint efforts in Central Asia,” Mirziyoyev stated.
The President of Uzbekistan proposed organizing a joint international forum titled “Dialogue of Civilizations” next year in Tashkent with the participation of creative groups, scholars, and writers. He also suggested creating a regional program called “Youth for Peace and Trust,” aimed at actively engaging young people in strengthening the principles of peace and trust through joint initiatives in education, culture, and volunteerism.
In conclusion, the President of Uzbekistan wished the people of Turkmenistan peace, prosperity, and continued progress.
