PSG managed to defeat Arsenal in the first leg of the semi-final

The first leg of the 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League semi-final between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain took place at the Emirates Stadium in London. The match ended with a 1–0 victory for the French side.
The visitors opened the scoring early, in the 4th minute, with a goal from PSG forward Ousmane Dembélé. Arsenal had several chances to equalize but failed to convert them. Early in the second half, in the 47th minute, Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino found the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review.
In the previous round, the quarter-finals, Arsenal convincingly defeated Real Madrid with an aggregate score of 5–1. PSG, on the other hand, overcame Aston Villa with a 5–4 aggregate score.
The return leg will take place on the night of May 8 at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
