Turkmen “Oguzrobot” Team Wins First Place at International Robotics Competition in Panama

From October 29 to November 1, in Panama City, Panama, the “Robots Olympics” for school students took place. Turkmenistan’s “Oguzrobot” team participated and successfully competed in the individual robot category (Skills Challenge), earning first place.

According to the competition rules, the team’s robot completed all required tasks within 50 seconds, scoring a total of 54.6 points.

The international robotics competition “First Global Challenge — 2025” held annually since 2017, included young engineers from 190 countries.

Representing Turkmenistan were students from Ashgabat’s specialized secondary school No. 97: Ysmayyl Charyyev, Emirhan Gylyçmuhammedow, Aznawur Cholukow, Shirmuhammet Gulow, and Gurbangeldi Orazgeldiyev. The team was led by experienced teacher Myrat Sahetgulyyev, and the students trained for several months at an advanced preparation center.

According to the results, Armenia’s team took second place, and China’s team came in third.
