KIA Reports First Half-Year Results

South Korea’s globally renowned automobile manufacturer KIA has earned 57.367 trillion won (approximately 41.6 billion US dollars) since the beginning of the year. This figure is 6.7% higher compared to the same period last year.

The company’s net profit for the reporting period was 5.773 trillion won (approximately 4.2 billion US dollars).

In the recently concluded second quarter, KIA’s revenue was 29.35 trillion won (approximately 21.3 billion US dollars), with a net profit of 2.269 trillion won (approximately 1.6 billion US dollars). During this period, the brand sold 792,000 vehicles.

Since the start of the year, the company has sold a total of 1.545 million vehicles.

Founded in 1944, KIA’s headquarters are located in Seoul. Currently, the company operates 14 factories across 8 countries worldwide. The number of employees reaches 40,000.
