Young Athletes from Lebap Won Medals at International Competitions
Nuriye Pardayeva, a student of the 20th secondary school in Köýtendag district, and Oguljan Ruslanowa, a student of the 61st secondary school in Çärjew district, won bronze medals at international competitions. Their achievements in para-athletics and sports promoting trust and inclusivity have proudly represented our country.

Nuriye Pardayeva competed in the 48-kilogram weight category among 26 athletes. This was not her first international victory. In November 2023, she also won a silver medal at the Asian Championship. Additionally, in May of this year, Nuriye joined the leading group in the European Cup team competition.
Oguljan Ruslanowa, a student from Lebap province and a trainee of Gulbadam Babamuradov, is preparing for the World Championship to be held in August this year.
Oguljan became the main standout athlete of 2025. She won bronze medals in the 70-kilogram weight category at the Cup competitions held in April in Berlin and in May in Cuba.
On July 3, Oguljan entered the top five strongest athletes in Asia in her weight category. Two days later, she took third place at another youth competition, reaching the third step of the podium.
At the competition held in Almaty, Oguljan competed in the “C” group among 17 athletes and defeated five of them.
By the end of the year, she plans to participate in 11 more international competitions. The season will start with the Ulan Bator Grand Slam on July 25 and end with the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam on November 27.
Thus, throughout the year, we expect to hear many more success stories from our Turkmen athletes. We hope they will continue to build upon the new achievements added to their existing international records.
